Uploading Files Using the Drag-and-Drop Feature
Overview
Strato Storage introduces the Drag-and-Drop feature which aims to simplify the process of uploading files from the users’ local storage to Strato Storage. This eliminates the need for multiple clicks on action buttons, making the upload process more intuitive and efficient. The Drag-and-Drop feature is available in the following components: File Management, Storage Management, and the Storage Card in the Dashboard.
Feature
The Drag-and-Drop feature allows users to ‘Drag’ the file from the local drive and ‘Drop’ it directly into the folder list of Strato Storage.
Uploading Files Using the Drag-and-Drop Feature
To upload files in Strato Storage using the Drag-and-Drop feature, hold the selected file(s) from your local storage and drag them up to the Strato Storage. A blue dotted line will appear around the area where you can drop your file.
Uploading in File Management using the Drag-and-Drop feature
When uploading via the Drag-and-Drop feature in Storage Management, you will first need to select a user to serve as the recipient for the file(s) you will upload. You can only proceed once you are already in the ‘User Files’ page.
Uploading in Storage Management using the Drag-and-Drop feature
In the Dashboard, users can only upload files via the Drag-and-Drop feature if there is a ‘Storage Card’ card type.
