Strato’s 1.23.500 release version focuses on improving user experience and operational efficiency across its components. We’re introducing customizable system URLs for tailored brand alignment and expanded data accessibility in the User Catalog. Additionally, we’ve made updates to our document management system with a new Storage Deck API and faster user management with a transition to DocumentDB. Alongside the beginning stages of a new Authorization Framework, our latest additions ensure that Strato continues to meet the evolving needs of modern organizations with enhanced flexibility, security, and efficiency.

Enhancements and New Features
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
For more flexibility in user data handling and workflow building, we have added the new ‘Pending Data in User Catalog’ feature, which users can activate via our Upgrade Center. This allows the use of pending data from the User Catalog, which was previously exclusive to the Employee Catalog.
JSEvaluator - Upgrade to NodeJS20
In line with our commitment to leveraging the technologies in-use across Strato components, the JS Evaluator (mainly for workflow building) has been upgraded to NodeJS20. This ensures better compatibility, enhances performance, and maintains the reliability of our services, with minimal disruption to current functionalities.
Custom URL for Strato Systems
Introduced in our previous release version, we have added a capability for Strato Admins to determine custom URLs for their newly created systems via the new “Override URL” button in the Admin Tool. This upgrade enhances brand visibility and user familiarity by maintaining distinct names for different systems within an organization.
Storage Deck - API Upload (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
An API that enables document uploads in our Storage Deck is now available to users. This enhancement allows for more direct uploads either directly into Strato Storage or via the Storage Deck, providing a flexible and efficient document management solution that reduces operational delays and improves document accessibility.
Other Updates
The following fixes were deployed in Strato's 1.23.500 Version:
A workflow with a document for signing was already signed, but its status wasn’t updated, and the completion date wasn’t populated due to a system error. To resolve this, a process was put in place to ensure the system accurately records the status and completion date for both the current and succeeding workflow steps. Additionally, the system was improved to handle non-form field documents more proficiently by reducing the number of database cells needed, improving the overall efficiency in workflow building.
To ensure a smoother workflow transition for workflows with scheduled reminders, the execution sequence of an aborted workflow step is now properly transferred to the newly created step. Previously, a workflow with a configured reminder was stalled because the User Decision step was aborted before its Step Validity conditions took effect, causing necessary parameters to be missing. With this fix, users can now expect their workflows with configured time-bound reminders to progress as expected.
A corrective script was implemented to address an issue where the actor parameter wasn’t visible in the output tab under the User Decision Step after being flagged with an incorrect status. This script updates the status of the actor parameter, ensuring it appears and progresses correctly, enhancing the overall user experience during workflow execution.
A fix has been developed to address the issue where using Ctrl+A in the Template Editor caused the document to lag and some actions (e.g. selecting fonts, adjusting font size) to become unavailable, which occurred because selecting all content triggered multiple functions resulted in delays. Now, a flag has been added to bypass these function calls if the selection is within specific document elements, ensuring smoother performance and better responsiveness when editing documents.
A loading error was encountered when a user attempted to save an email template after removing some email recipients. To ensure that users are promptly alerted of any issues while saving email templates (e.g. when there are email fields without values), appropriate error messages have been added in the system.
To ensure a more refined preview functionality, a filter was also added so only the active window is used when multiple windows try to access the same image preview. This solution was added after multiple users experienced issues in loading thumbnail previews for their files via the File Information page.
