Strato’s 1.23.300 Release Version focuses on merging enhanced functionality with uncompromised security to accommodate the modern demands of our users. Under this version, we are unveiling a suite of enhancements in the following solutions: Strato Platform, Strato Documents, and Strato Storage. Users will now have access to a new and foundational Authorization Framework for easier policy management, a streamlined Strato Storage Deck for document organization, and enhanced security with oAuth for safer API integrations. Additionally, we've improved transparency with advanced user activity logging and upgraded our Document Conversion Microservice for better performance and to further align with AWS standards.

Enhancements and New Features
New Strato Authorization Framework - User List View in User Management (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
We are taking the first step towards crafting a robust New Authorization Framework with the introduction of the User List View. This update allows for a comprehensive display of all Strato users, which sets the stage for future policy creation and management. The new User List View also promotes a glimpse into our transition into a more dynamic and feature-rich UI.
Security Enhancement - oAuth for API Server (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
For heightened security with third-party integrations, we have introduced the oAuth enablement for API Server in our previous 1.23.050 release version. In the latest version, we have transitioned to a new technology in order to accommodate a new library for an easier and more stable implementation.
Strato Release Version Number in Homepage
Upon loading Strato’s homepage, users will be able to find the release version number conveniently displayed beside the Strato logo. This update is automatically available to all users, making it easier to identify the current version of Strato being used to help with troubleshooting and navigation purposes.
Security Enhancement - Document Conversion to PDF (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
Previously reliant on NodeJS 14, we have upgraded our Document Conversion Microservice to NodeJS 20 to align with the latest principles and standards of AWS. This security update ensures accurate and seamless text generation during the document conversion process.
In this version, we have also made the Document Conversion feature available in our Upgrade Center.
Enhanced Logging (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
As we pave the way for a more secure and compliant Strato environment, we are rolling out the Enhanced Logging capability to provide an avenue for users to store their activity logs. This feature, which can be activated via our Upgrade Center, lists down user activities such as logging in Strato, viewing and downloading documents via Strato Storage, and performing actions via Upgrade Center. Other user activities will be available in the upcoming releases as we continue to expand the capabilities of this feature.
Storage Deck - Queue View (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
Designed as a staging ground that facilitates more seamless document management, our new Storage Deck tool allows authorized users to meticulously review and categorize incoming documents before securely storing these in Strato Storage.
In this release version, we have devised a capability for developers to upload documents via Storage Deck’s Queue View. To further build on this feature, modifications such as allowing mass uploads and creating action buttons are already set up for our future integration efforts.
Other Updates
The following fixes were deployed in Strato's 1.23.300 Version:
To ensure accurate and consistent data retrieval in the Workflow Report Card, a new process that updates the cached backend data by mimicking the Report Card Settings was initiated. This addresses a reported user issue wherein the Report Card wasn’t able to retrieve all records once the Clear Cache button was clicked, which happened because the previous process didn’t guarantee the fetching of all cached data. The Clear Cache button was also removed as part of this update, so users can rely directly on the Refresh button for improved usability.
A targeted solution was implemented to resolve a character encoding issue in the Template Editor that prevented the table filter from displaying the expected results in a user’s document template. This fix enables a more seamless and stable functionality of table filters by allowing the system to directly process any characters that could potentially cause encoding issues.
For smoother package imports and modification handling in Package Manager, our system was adjusted so it can better accommodate any changes made to the workflow steps of workflow creations intended for package solutions. This resolves an importing error that occurred when a user modified a workflow step before saving a new workflow, which hindered the progress of an initiated package import.
The category deletion process in Strato Storage has been improved to ensure that it accurately counts published and unpublished versions of workflow templates linked to workflows. Additionally, users now have access to a visual cue that appropriately determines and labels deleted categories. These solutions aim to resolve a reported issue wherein a user encountered difficulties in deleting a category that was linked to an outdated and unpublished version of a workflow template.
A more intuitive folder authorization management process has been implemented to enable smoother updates to existing folder permissions. This fix allows users to update, delete, or add new folder authorizations, eliminating issues that previously restricted them from updating configured permissions.
A user encountered an error in uploading some files in Strato Storage, which turned out to be corrupted. To resolve this, a new library that handles corrupted files during uploads has been integrated into the system. To ensure smooth file management, users are also encouraged to verify the integrity and security of their files before uploading them.
