Enhancements and New Features
Upgrade Center
The Upgrade Center is a newly developed tool within Strato that enables customers to upgrade features according to development stages (Alpha, Beta), redefining how they can interact with upcoming features. Given proper authorizations set via User Management, users may opt to install or uninstall a feature and provide feedback according to their organization’s requirements or user expectations. The Upgrade Center is also designed according to the new Strato 2.0 theme as an introduction to our transition into a more sleek and modern interface.
oAuth Support for API Server (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
To enhance the overall security of Strato and take a leap beyond basic authorization, we’ve given users the capability to enable oAuth protocol via the Admin Tool, which issues a certificate-based authentication for a more secure and robust environment. This upgrade caters to the advanced needs and requirements of the customers’ initiatives, offering heightened security measures for third-party integrations.
Preview with Numbered Lists
Strato Forms now features an improved preview functionality for generated forms with numbered lists, addressing the unique challenges presented by dynamic conditions within these lists. This update promotes a streamlined and flexible document creation process while ensuring that generated Strato Forms are more intuitive and accurate.
Document Conversion to PDF (Alpha Version)
(Refer to Upgrade Center for more information regarding the Alpha and Beta release versions of Strato.)
As part of our steadfast dedication to reliability and performance, the document conversion microservice for Strato Documents has been overhauled so that it not only meets AWS standards but also ushers in precision in PDF conversions. Our advancement to the latest NodeJS 20 also establishes a benchmark for document accuracy and consistency.
Package Manager - Storage Metadata
The Content-based Search in Strato Storage now allows effortless navigation through documents using specific keywords. Content-Based Search improves search efficiency by enabling the search on the actual content within the document. This feature is provided in both basic and advanced search functionalities. It also enhances security with the Confidential Flag, which allows files and folders to be categorized as confidential, excluding these files from the search extractions.
Different Editions
Our latest update to Strato’s Package Manager introduces the user capability to import and export Properties, which was previously limited to Rules, Categories, and Location. This enhancement, a direct response to user feedback, simplifies data management by offering more flexibility to users who want to import and export file/folder Properties.
Other Updates
The following fixes were deployed in Strato's 1.23.050 Version:
Server Errors when Viewing Dashboard and Running Workflow
For seamless dashboard and workflow access, system adjustments have been implemented to enable users to view their dashboards smoothly, even in cases where certain permissions are missing. Additionally, necessary permissions have been granted to resolve the related server errors encountered by a user during dashboard loading and workflow execution.
To ensure accurate document generation when merging templates via Strato Workflow, a code fix was applied so multiple templates are itemized in their correct saved order. This addresses a previous issue where the order of document templates in the 'Generate Document' step was shown based on the time of receipt rather than the saved order, leading to inaccuracies in the final document.
Following the recent 1.23 update, workflows configured prior to the 1.23 version may experience functionality issues due to the absence of a new data category introduced in the latest version, which plays a crucial role in identifying different types of data from web services. To address this and ensure that both new and old workflows run successfully, the system’s configuration settings in line with web service usage have been adjusted accordingly.
The template updating process in Strato Documents has been enhanced to eliminate errors concerning invalid fields. The errors stem from the system not being able to save some essential information, leading to the key fields involved being inaccurately flagged as invalid. Now, the system efficiently gathers all required details upon updating document templates, ensuring a seamless and error-free experience for users.
The condition builder in the Template Editor for Strato Documents has been optimized to ensure that the system obtains all the relevant information needed to accurately display the fulfilled condition upon preview. This resolves a reported preview error that stemmed from missing data related to the condition field’s category, which was not captured by the system.
In response to a reported issue wherein searching for documents with future-dated details via Strato Storage’s Advanced Search function yielded incomplete results, the system was updated so it correctly converts date details before saving them. This fix enables accurate document searches by building the system’s adaptability in handling and converting date-related details.
To ensure that all subfolders in the Storage Card will load and display content as expected, adjustments have been made so that the system recognizes and accurately processes all requests and their sources during the loading process. This resolves a reported issue wherein the subfolder accessed by a user only loaded continuously, which was triggered by a source being incorrectly read and processed as empty.
The system’s handling of location settings has been improved so that it now accommodates both User and Employee Catalogs when processing and assigning locations to user files, enhancing the reliability of location-based features in Strato Storage. Previously, it only allowed the Employee Catalog, which led to incorrect locations being assigned to user files that referenced the User Catalog.
