Enhancements and New Features
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Strato now supports SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, aiding organizations in automating recruitment and onboarding processes during the transition from recruitment modules to Employee Central. Following recruitment, administrators can utilize Strato Storage to streamline their document management process, creating a centralized repository for onboarding documents for easier access and future use.
Support for External Users
Strato now enables authorized external users, distinct from those within SuccessFactors, to access and utilize its features through a dedicated login system. These users can view files in Storage Card and take action on documents sent to them. Authorized external consultants, on the other hand, have the option to access SuccessFactors data through proxy and replicate the capabilities of internal administrators. Additionally, administrators can set up multiple Identity Providers via the Admin Tool.
Expanded API
Strato introduces enhanced APIs, providing users access to expanded capabilities across different modules—Strato Storage, Strato Automate, and Strato Platform. This comprehensive solution improves integration with third-party applications, offering a more seamless and versatile experience for organizations using Strato HCM.
Condition Function
The new formula function in Strato Field Settings empowers users to create and apply fields that automatically determines a value for output based on satisfied conditions. Administrators can leverage various types of values from the datasource, template parameters, and SuccessFactors pending data. This enhancement enables efficient management of conditions across multiple document templates, providing an effective solution for handling updates and reducing the modification process.
RegEx Formula
In Strato Field Manager, a new formula function empowers users in manipulating strings of data using the Regular Expressions (RegEx) method. This function aims to provide additional dynamic options for displaying data from the field, granting users the flexibility to obtain a specific value based on their requirements.
Condition Editor Enhancements
In Condition Editor, a new copy-paste feature enables users to copy a complete condition set from one condition editor to another. This functionality streamlines the process of copying conditions between templates and across applications. For instance, copying conditions from Documents Templates to Workflows or from one Document Template to another, ensuring consistency, and enhancing overall ease of use.
Preview Pending Data
The enhanced Preview Pending Data feature in Strato improves usability across the platform, allowing users to easily preview SuccessFactors pending data in Field Manager, Template Editors, and Document Preview (for Document Templates). Additionally, SuccessFactors pending data can now be retrieved for calculation within formula fields and used as a parameter in the workflow process, expanding its functionality.
Viewing documents with SuccessFactors pending data is now effortlessly achieved through the Document Preview tool within the template editor, facilitating the direct generation of documents with pending data from SuccessFactors.
New System Creation
Strato has now enhanced the process once the system has been created, improving initialization, optimizing performance, and refining the interface for smoother setup. Consultants can now begin with an empty system, enabling them to customize it based on their business requirements.
Tiny URL for Document Signing
The document signing process in Strato has been simplified with the help of streamlined, secure URLs via the s-hr.io domain. This feature supports both Strato Storage and Workflow functionalities, employing tiny URLs for enhanced security by making them less predictable for potential threats. The tiny URL feature is also slated for future integrations with SMS/WhatsApp.
We recommend customers to verify whether the tiny URL domain requires whitelisting in their Firewall settings.
Start Workflow Based on a Specific SFSF Step
In the Strato Workflow template, the SuccessFactors Workflow trigger now includes the Trigger at step level toggle, offering users the capability to precisely assign a trigger by selecting a specific step or event within the SuccessFactors Workflow. When toggled ON, users can initiate the Strato Workflow based on either the current pending step or a designated event, ensuring activation only when the selected event or approver is reached. This feature enhances workflow management by allowing users to easily select triggers based on Steps or Events in SuccessFactors, such as when the 1st approver completes a step or when the last approver is reached.
Container Step with Pending Data
In Strato Automate, retrieving SuccessFactors pending data is now possible through the Set Container Values step, enabling users to utilize it as a parameter within workflow processes. Essentially, users can now extend this capability across different workflow scenarios to address various needs and requirements.
Asynchronous API Support
Strato Automate now supports Asynchronous APIs through the introduction of the Asynchronous parameter. This facilitates a smooth workflow progression in scenarios where an immediate API response is not received. This new parameter allows users to enable a workflow process to execute additional or succeeding steps within a specified period, ensuring uninterrupted workflow continuation even when no response is received from the API.
File Output
In Strato Automate, the Call External Services step now allows users to download a file attachment from a third-party application API (e.g., SuccessFactors or Adobe). With the File and Filename outputs seamlessly incorporated upon the completion of the necessary workflow step, users are no longer required to conduct extra mapping for file information. The downloaded file can then be utilized in subsequent workflow steps, such as for signatures or storage purposes.
Merge Documents Microservices
Strato Automate now offers additional micro-services to consolidate multiple documents from different steps, into a single document as a PDF format. This also offers improved document management efficiency and the ability to seamlessly download file attachments from third-party application APIs like SuccessFactors, utilizing the Call External Services step.
Automate 2.0 - New UX (alpha)
The Strato Workflow introduces Automate 2.0, an upgraded user experience design offering an enhanced user experience for streamlined workflow building. With this, users gain the flexibility to manually position workflow boxes with saving options to ensure seamless reloading. This enhancement also offers shape customization and color options to enhance visual clarity during workflow design. Additionally, the new export feature empowers users to save workflows as PNG images, simplifying the creation of comprehensive documentation.
Dropdown with SAP Data
Strato Forms now features a new integration with SAP HR data for Dropdown Form fields. Users can effortlessly access these Form fields with pre-populated in-sync data directly from SAP HR, facilitated through a report configured in Easy Reporter. With this integration, accurate value options from SAP can be easily provided to users when utilizing dropdown fields in Strato Form templates.
Regional Format for Input Fields
Strato Forms have the capability to automatically adjust the date and numeric format based on the end-user’s regional settings when populating form fields. Furthermore, it now offers the ability to define the format for form fields, particularly for numeric and date values, once the form is in its final layout (e.g., Preview changes screen, Downloaded PDF, or PDF in an email attachment). This ensures alignment with the user’s preferred date and numeric presentation and also ensures the uniformity of the output values format.
Tooltip on Fields
Strato Forms now provide contextual help for form fields within a document. This simplifies the process of offering instructions or guidance to end-users filling out the form. Additionally, it enhances language translation accessibility based on the user's browser language. It is designed for versatility, offering options to display tooltip text across various devices.
Content-based Search
The Content-based Search in Strato Storage now allows effortless navigation through documents using specific keywords. Content-Based Search improves search efficiency by enabling the search on the actual content within the document. This feature is provided in both basic and advanced search functionalities. It also enhances security with the Confidential Flag, which allows files and folders to be categorized as confidential, excluding these files from the search extractions.
Different Editions
Strato Storage is now available in three editions, designed to meet the distinct needs of various organizations. This flexibility allows organizations to select the version that aligns best with specific requirements, offering fundamental features, advanced capabilities, or a comprehensive set of tools.
- Lite: serves as the fundamental version that includes file storage, categorization, status management, PDF/image upload, and mass upload using an external tool.
- Standard: is an advanced version featuring enhanced authorization, support for various file types, multiple server locations, advanced search engine, and deletion report.
- Enterprise: offers the full potential with Lite and Standard features, with advanced functionalities such as Strato API access, OCR search, a built-in tool for mass document uploading, and external users functionality.
